In their most recent match of the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, KKR finally returned to form. 

The Knight Riders managed to put an end to their losing streak by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 21 runs. It was a comprehensive performance by the victors as they excelled in all facets of the game. Batting first in the game, KKR scored 200 runs in the first 20 overs.

The opening batter Jason Roy put up a good performance with a knock of 56 runs while Nitish Rana also chipped in with crucial 48 runs. Following the score, RCB were restricted to 179 runs. The skipper Virat Kohli made good efforts as he added 54 runs to the scoreboard. However, he did not get the support of other batters and the team fell short of 21 runs. Playing on Saturday, KKR will be aiming to continue the momentum. 

As far as Gujarat Titans are concerned, they are sitting in third place in the points table with five wins and two losses. The team has a total of ten points to its name. The defending champion will be high on confidence as they defeated Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians by seven and 55 runs respectively. In the game against LSG, the bowlers were exceptional as they defended 134 runs in 20 overs by folding the Super Giants at a paltry total of 128 runs. Playing against MI, the batters led the attack by smashing 207 runs in the first innings. Two back-to-back wins must have given a lot of confidence to Hardik Pandya & Men and they will be eager to record their third consecutive victory.
