PAK vs ENG – ICC T20 World Cup – Team Preview
Pakistan
Everyone lost hope when Pakistan lost two games back-to-back against India and Zimbabwe. They just had a 1% chance to qualify for the semi-final game and all the predictions have come out wrong for the men in green. Pakistan was the luckiest team in Group 2 and qualified for the final game by defeating New Zealand in the semi-final.
As the tournament is coming to an end, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have rediscovered their magic in T20 cricket. Against New Zealand, they provided a winning momentum at the beginning itself and made it easier for the middle order. Shadab Khan came out as the saviour of the team against South Africa and provided much-needed relief in the middle order.
Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf will be responsible to break the partnership between Buttler and Hales. Their major concern will be to not allow any English batsmen to get comfortable on the pitch. It won’t be easier for the Pakistani bowling department to get rid of the English batters.
England
The journey for England in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has been like a roller coaster ride. They have seen a lot of ups and downs and have witnessed a bit of bad luck. However, the team gained momentum after defeating New Zealand in the group stage and since then they are dominating the field. Their semi-final win against India would have boosted their confidence and that will work in their favour.
Alex Hales had a brilliant outing on Thursday against India. His presence on the ground has given confidence to Buttler as well. Jos Buttler has been through some dip in his performance but he has recovered with time. England’s squad has major depth in their batting lineup with players like Alex Hales, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Harry Brooks, and Liam Livingstone.
The major concern for England’s team management will be the bowling squad. English bowlers have not made a much-needed impact in the ongoing tournament and in the final game, England would need Chris Jordan and Chris Woakes to upbeat their game.

PAK vs ENG – ICC T20 World Cup – Match Prediction
Both teams deserve to be in the final game. Their world cup campaign started on a rough note and they both made a comeback in the middle of the tournament. Both Pakistan and England have good batting depth and their middle order has learned to continue the momentum. However, the only difference between the two is their bowling section. Pakistan has much better bowlers who can be match-winners for the team. We predict Pakistan lifting the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 trophy.
