PAK v ENG – 7th T20i – Team Previews
Pakistan
Pakistan came to the ground with some major absentees in the team. Mohammad Rizwan and Haris Rauf were not part of the last game and Pakistan already looked like a weak team as compared to the visitors. Pakistan will be eyeing a series win as their two primary players are back in the playing XI.
PCB and its selection committee would have noticed the weak performances of Shan Masood, Haider Ali and Asif Ali. The trio was a complete failure for the team. Skipper Babar Azam played some brilliant knocks and turned out to be the highest scorer in the team. The primary concern for Pakistan will be their middle-order batting which was a weak link in the last game.
In the bowling department, Pakistan looked completely lost and had no idea how to stop the English batsmen. Dahani and Jamal were the two weak links in the bowling section of Pakistan and the team will have to make some tough decisions to not repeat their last bowling performance.
England
England displayed a very calm and calculative approach in the last game. Whale chasing, the English batsmen understood the Pakistani bowlers and target their every loose ball. This win will definitely boost their confidence and now the English team will eye to winning the series.
At the right time, Phil Salt bounced back with his performance and scored 88 runs in 41 balls at a strike rate of 214.63. The team management will be happy to see the same. To support Salt, Malan, Duckett, and Hales contributed equally to score a win for the team.
England won the toss and decided to bowl first. However, the decision was not working in favour of the team at the beginning of the match. It was in the third over, the English bowler started to take the charge and completely destroyed the batting lineup of Pakistan.
