ENGW vs PAKW – T20 WC – Team Previews
England Women
England have been in great form in the Women’s T20 World Cup, winning all their matches against India, West Indies, and Ireland to sit at the top of the Group B table. Their batting line-up has been firing, with contributions from players such as Nat Sciver-Brunt, Heather Knight, and Amy Jones throughout the group stages. However, opener Danni Wyatt’s poor form has been a concern for the team as she has failed to play any convincing innings this tournament.
In their last match against India, England lost the toss and were asked to bat first. Although they got off to a shaky start, Nat Sciver-Brunt and the middle-order batters rescued them, and they eventually posted a total of 151 for the loss of seven wickets. Renuka Singh was the pick of the Indian bowlers, claiming her first-ever five-wicket haul. India’s chase got off to a strong start, particularly with Smriti Mandhana’s half-century, but they kept losing wickets from the other end, eventually falling short by 11 runs.
Nat Sciver-Brunt has been England’s top run-scorer so far with 95 runs at a strike rate of 120, including one six and 11 fours. Sophie Ecclestone, on the other hand, has been their standout bowler, having picked up seven wickets at an impressive average of 7.
Pakistan Women
Pakistan will need a win against England to have a chance to reach the knockout stages, and even then, they will need Ireland to defeat India in the other match to progress. Pakistan’s performances in the tournament so far have been mixed, with one win and two losses. They will have to put up a strong all-round performance to defeatae strong England side.
Muneeba Ali has been one of Pakistan’s star performers in the tournament, with a century to her name in a previous match. However, her form has been inconsistent, and Pakistan will need her to fire against England. Skipper Bismah Maroof has been their most consistent batter and will be crucial to Pakistan’s chances.
Among their bowlers, Nasra Sandhu and Nida Dar have been in good form and will be looking to take advantage of the helpful conditions at St George’s Park. However, they will need support from the other bowlers to contain England’s strong batting lineup.

ENGW vs PAKW – T20 WC – Pitch Report and Toss Prediction
The pitch at Cape Town offers great support to the seamers, making it tough for the batters to score runs easily. A low-scoring match is expected and the team that wins the toss might consider batting first. Defending the total is the preferred strategy at this ground, as the last two out of three matches were won by doing so.
ENGW vs PAKW – T20 WC – Match Prediction
Pakistan are in desperate need of a victory here to stay alive in the World Cup. They have decent quality in their team to cause some trouble for the English side but don’t think it will be enough. We predict a close England win and Pakistan women might be out of the tournament.
