On Thursday Australia showed their dominating side and proved the fact that they are still one of the most ferocious cricket teams when it comes to the ODI format. English batters were unable to build up partnerships in front of the Australian bowling attack and their batting lineup had a depth which helped the team to score a comfortable win.

David Warner and Travis Head set up a 147-run stand in the last game, and the side would like a similar show. Steve Smith showed his class at number three by scoring 80 runs in 78 balls at a strike rate of 102.56. The only concern was the early exit of Marnus Labuschagne. However, the top three batters displayed a commendable style on the ground.

Skipper Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa rose to the occasion and picked up three wickets each. Marcus Stoinis and Mitchell Starc picked up one wicket each but maintained a good economy. In Sydney, the Australian bowling lineup is expected to perform at the same or a better level.

England
