Lucknow Super Giants
The Lucknow Super Giants will play their third match of the Indian Premier League 2023 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad, having suffered a 12-run defeat against Chennai Super Kings in their previous game. Kyle Mayers played an impressive innings, hitting a quickfire half-century, but Moeen Ali’s four-wicket haul ruined their chase of 218.
Despite this loss, the Super Giants have points on the board after their win against Delhi Capitals in the tournament opener. Kyle Mayers, who opened the innings with Rahul due to Quinton de Kock’s absence, has been in destructive form, scoring two half-centuries in the two matches played so far. However, Nicholas Pooran has failed to impress despite showing glimpses of his abilities.
The return of Quinton de Kock, who missed the first week of action due to international commitments, could boost their top-order batting. It will be interesting to see how the Super Giants manage to accommodate both De Kock and Mayers in the side.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s campaign began on a sour note with a crushing 72-run defeat to the Rajasthan Royals in their first match. Despite picking up two wickets each, Natarajan and Farooqi couldn’t prevent the Royals from posting a daunting total of 204. The Sunrisers’ batting struggled to keep up with the required run rate and could only manage a meager 131 in their allotted overs.
However, the Sunrisers can take heart from the return of their South African players, who were unavailable for the previous match. With Markram, Klaasen, and Jansen in the squad, Hyderabad now have all their overseas contingent available.
Umran Malik, one of the quickest bowlers in this season’s IPL, could prove to be a valuable asset for the Sunrisers. Along with the experienced Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he could form a potent pace attack, especially if the conditions in Lucknow favour their style of bowling.

LSG vs SRH – IPL – Pitch Report and Toss Prediction
The pitch is expected to be a challenging one for the batters due to the helpful conditions for seam bowlers early on. As the tournament progresses, spinners are expected to play a more significant role on this balanced surface. The team that wins the toss should opt to bat first, as chasing could prove to be difficult later on.
LSG vs SRH – IPL – Win Prediction
Sunrisers Hyderabad have a full-strength squad to pick from with the arrivals of their overseas players and they might propel them to victory in this game.
