They could only muster 125 on a decent wicket in their first innings. Najumul Hossain scored 38 (29) and Mushfiqur Rahim contributed 29 (22) but couldn’t kick on. The target was never going to be enough against the firepower of the Victorians as the West Indies duo of Narine and Russell chased it down with 20 balls to spare.

Najmul Hossain Shanto has been the leading batsman for the Sylhet Strikers, accumulating a total of 412 runs with a 112 strike rate. He showcased his power-hitting skills by hitting 10 sixes and 43 fours. Towhid Hridoy, another top performer for the team, has notched up 378 runs with a 145-strike rate.
