The Renegades had a disastrous season last year as they finished last in the BBL point table with three wins and 10 losses overall. Andre Russell also contributed at the lower end with his brilliant strike rate of 125 and 35 runs. Aaron Finch is still struggling to contribute and the whole middle order collapsed which came out as a shock for the whole team.

At the bowling front, the Renegades have Akeal Hosien, who picked up 3 wickets in four overs at an economy of 3.75. Mujeeb Ur Rehman turned out to be a costly affair but he is expected to bounce back in the next game.

Sydney Thunder

Sydney Thunder has started their new season of the Big Bash League with a win against Melbourne Stars. It was a low-scoring game where both teams struggled to make an impact with the bat. Sydney Thunder will have to work hard on their batting lineup to make sure they score another win.

Bowlers from Sydney Thunder displayed a brilliant performance as they completely thrashed the opposition. Gurinder Sandhu, Fazalhaq Farooq, and Daniel Sams picked up two wickets each and helped their team to dominate the game.

The batters of Sydney Thunder disappointed the audience with their poor performance. There was no strong partnership and it was purely by luck that the Sydney Thunder won their first game.
